"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
 -proverbs 22:6

I recently had the privilege to spend time with my BFF and her family behind the camera. It was the most peaceful and natural shoot I have experienced thus far. I can't tell you how much joy it brought me to capture their natural beauty and love for each other. Seeing the way the children interact and embrace their mother is a precious moment that is always a treasure to witness. She is truly a courageous and virtues women raising her children in the ways of the Lord. I am blessed to have had a chance to capture their bright smiles and joyful spirit.

30's photo shoot gone wrong

Let the pictures speak for its self.....

This is one of those shoots I could not leave out of this blog! MY BESTIES! Yup you can see it goofy, creative, beautiful, intelligent, unique, lovable, successful, gracious, competitive, outgoing, tough, strong willed, courageous, meek, and I can go on and on. Most of all blessed, I am blessed to have my child hood friends in my life growing together has been amazing and challenging at the same time. Reminiscing can take days, from submarine trips in second grade to white wash riders to sitting on the bench, we still pick ourselves up and try again. Inside jokes are endless, and we can still have a good laugh just thinking about it... food before friends. But the greatest part is we continually make new memories, jokes, tears, and smiles we do it all. I love these girls and its amazing how God keeps us all together. Turning 18... 21..... now 30! we still young LOL LOVE YOU ALL: Leilani, Leimomi, Melissa, Patty, & Koach Kai!

Lil guy Big courage

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." -Phillipians 4:13

This past thanksgiving my husband and I went back to his home town Big Island, Hilo-Kalapana. Reuniting with family is always a joy, every moment is a blessing. These are one of the moments we found most memorable. My husbands lil brother on a big horse roping a big cow! We were both amazed at his talent and courage. I had the privilege to snap some  photos of his cowboy talents.

About me and photography

Blessed Photography

My name is Stephanie Garcia, I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Maui. I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with my Bachelors in Nursing in 2005. I moved back home and worked as an RN for seven years. During this time I studied at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I graduated in 2009 with my Masters in Nursing and I am currently working full time as an APRN. I couldn’t have accomplished this without the mighty hand of God working on my behalf. He is the author and finisher of my faith, he will complete the mighty work he has set before me. I have many testimonies on how good, great, and mighty our God is and in his timing I will be able to share it with you!

The journey of blessed photography began when I got my hands on my best friends Nikon 3100. I loved the feel of capturing the most precious, goofy, and touching moments shared among friends and family. It wasn’t to long there after that I had purchased my own camera and began to explore. I began shooting senior portraits, family portraits, small weddings, and maternity photos. My love for photography grew as I observed the joy and love felt among the families and friends that enjoyed their photos. God has really placed it on my heart to pursue photography as my special hobby. One day at the beach, my best friend asked me “what do you want to name your photography business?” We glanced at each other knowing in our hearts that God himself would bless us with a name. After tossing up some names, it came to me…. Blessed Photography! What a blessing to capture his creation one picture at a time.
